Description

Conductive Copper Foil Tape – EMI Shielding & Electrical Grounding

Professional-grade copper foil tape for EMI/RFI shielding, electrical grounding, PCB repair, and anti-static flooring systems. One side is pure copper foil for excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, while the other side has strong adhesive for secure peel-and-stick installation on virtually any surface.

Available Sizes

  • 20 mm × 30M – Best for cable wrapping, medium enclosures, and flooring earthing strips.
  • 10 mm × 30M – Ideal for PCB trace repair, guitar cavity edges, and tight-space shielding.
  • 6 mm × 30M – Precision width for small component work, circuit prototyping, and detailed craft lines.

Need a custom size or conductive adhesive variant? We can customize width, length, and adhesive type based on your project requirements. Contact us at +92 300 9426742.

Key Features

  • Pure Copper Foil Surface – One side is high-purity copper for excellent electrical conductivity, thermal transfer, and effective EMI/RFI shielding across a wide frequency range.
  • Strong Adhesive Backing – The other side has pressure-sensitive adhesive for secure bonding to metal, plastic, glass, wood, PCB, and epoxy surfaces. Stays in place under heat, humidity, and vibration.
  • Conductive Adhesive Available – Standard version uses non-conductive adhesive. Need current flow through both sides? Custom orders with conductive adhesive (silver/nickel particle-infused) can be arranged for overlapping joints that require unbroken electrical continuity.
  • Multiple Width Options – Choose 6 mm, 10 mm, or 20 mm depending on your application. Custom widths available on request.
  • Easy to Cut & Conform – Tear by hand or cut with scissors. Wraps around curves, corners, and irregular surfaces without wrinkling or lifting.
  • Soldering Compatible – Solder directly onto the copper surface for permanent electrical connections in repair and prototyping work.
  • Heat Dissipation – Acts as a passive heat spreader when applied to warm electronic components like LED strips, voltage regulators, and driver boards.

Standard vs Conductive Adhesive

  • Standard Adhesive (default) – Copper foil on one side, non-conductive adhesive on the other. Best for general shielding, crafts, heat spreading, and applications where overlapping strips don’t need electrical continuity through the glue layer.
  • Conductive Adhesive (custom order) – Copper foil on one side, conductive adhesive infused with silver or nickel particles on the other. Current flows through both sides, making overlapping joints electrically continuous. Essential for professional grounding grids, ESD flooring, and critical shielding that requires full surface conductivity.

Not sure which type you need? For most DIY projects, guitar shielding, and basic EMI wrapping, the standard adhesive version works perfectly — just ensure copper surfaces overlap and make contact. For industrial grounding, anti-static flooring, and applications where every overlap joint must carry current, go with the conductive adhesive variant.

Applications

  • EMI/RFI Shielding – Wrap cables, line enclosures, and shield sensitive electronics from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
  • Guitar & Audio Shielding – Eliminate 60-cycle hum and RF buzz by lining pickup cavities, control routes, and back plates.
  • Anti-Static (ESD) Flooring – Lay copper tape strips beneath epoxy or conductive flooring to create grounding paths that safely dissipate static electricity. Connect to a proper earthing system for best results. Conductive adhesive variant recommended for this application.
  • PCB Repair & Prototyping – Bridge broken traces, repair damaged boards, and create quick test circuits on flat surfaces.
  • Electrical Grounding – Create ground bus lines, bond enclosure panels, and establish conductive paths in equipment and industrial setups.
  • Stained Glass & Crafts – Traditional copper foiling technique for stained glass art, decorative edging, and metallic accent work.
  • LED & Component Cooling – Apply to heat-generating components for passive thermal spreading and improved heat dissipation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers about this product

Q1 What is copper tape used for?
A

Copper tape is used for EMI/RFI shielding, PCB trace repair, electrical grounding, guitar cavity shielding, anti-static flooring, and DIY electronics projects. It blocks electromagnetic interference and provides reliable conductivity.

Q2 Is copper tape conductive on both sides?
A

The standard version has one conductive side (the copper foil surface) and one adhesive side for easy peel-and-stick installation. The adhesive side bonds to surfaces but is not electrically conductive in the standard variant. For projects requiring conductivity on both sides with adhesive, we can arrange custom orders with conductive adhesive backing — contact us at +92 300 9426742 for pricing and minimum order quantities.

Q3 Can copper tape be used for EMI shielding?
A

Yes. Copper foil tape is one of the most effective materials for EMI/RFI shielding. It wraps around cables, lines enclosures, and shields sensitive components from electromagnetic interference across a wide frequency range.

Q4 Can copper tape be used for PCB repair?
A

Yes. Copper tape is commonly used to repair damaged PCB traces or create temporary circuit paths. Its conductivity and thin profile make it ideal for bridging broken connections on circuit boards.

Q5 Can copper tape be used for anti-static or epoxy flooring?
A

Yes. Copper tape is used as a grounding conductor in ESD flooring systems. It is laid beneath epoxy or conductive flooring to create a discharge path for static electricity. It should be connected to a proper earthing system for effective static dissipation.

Q6 Does copper tape have adhesive?
A

Yes. Our copper tape has strong adhesive backing for easy peel-and-stick installation. The adhesive is electrically conductive, allowing current to flow through both the copper surface and the bond layer.
